Alumna Deb Neff Gives $8M to Biological Sciences

Life sciences industry expert Deborah Neff ’76 is giving $8 million to the 69�� College of Biological Sciences for two endowments, one for the deanship and the other for the Center for Neuroscience for research into Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The gift is the largest by an individual in the college’s history.

Retired Faculty-Staff Couple Gives $1 Million to Create Professorship

69�� today announced receiving a $1 million bequest from Distinguished Professor Emeritus Maury Hull and Karen Slakey Hull to endow a professorship in biomedical engineering with a research emphasis in orthopedics. The Maury L. Hull and Karen S. Hull Endowed Professorship will continue the couple’s already substantial legacy at 69��.

Dean Jennifer Sinclair Curtis of 69��’ College of Engineering expressed thanks to the Hulls, who at their retirement in 2014 had a combined career of nearly 65 years at 69��.
