Members of the California dairy industry will gather June 10 at 69成人 for the 2010 Dairy Technology Day.
The event, which will feature talks by university and industry experts, will be held in the ballroom of the new 69成人 Conference Center. It will be hosted by the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science.
The meeting will open with welcoming remarks by 69成人 Chancellor Linda Katehi and Neal Van Alfen, dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Joe O鈥橠onnell, executive director of the California Dairy Research Foundation, will then deliver a state-of-the industry message, talking about 鈥淣ew Marketing Advantages Available to Milk and Dairy Products for Health-conscious Consumers.鈥
The morning talks will focus on enhancing health with pre- and pro-biotics, and the afternoon session will highlight processing technologies. Participants then will be taken on a tour of the new LEED Platinum August A. Busch III Brewing and Food Science Laboratory, Milk Processing Laboratory, and Teaching and Research Winery, now under construction at the Robert Mondavi Institute. The day will conclude with a networking reception.
